“For both of us, dinosaurs have always been fascinating.” Tim was full of enthusiasm and boyish wonder as we crossed through the west gate of Dinosaur National Monument.
Located on the southeast flank of the Uinta Mountains on the border between Colorado and Utah at the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers sits Dinosaur National Monument. An amazing location where dinosaurs once roamed freely, their remains are still visible embedded in the rocks. Today, the mountains, desert and untamed rivers flowing in deep canyons, support an array of life. Later in history, homesteaders and outlaws found refuge here. In the summer of 2016 it became a landmark du jour for the Creative Animal Foundation. (watch the full video by clicking the image below)
While at the museum our team got to meet Dale Gray, a museum volunteer, who gave us a behind the scenes tour of the lab where they prepare the fossils for display. Talk about a creative animal!
