In a city of just 25,000 there exists a pioneer. This pioneer is not a human rights leader or a politician or even a medical professional. This pioneer is a brewmaster. Born out of a love for organic vegetable gardening and beer making, Mother Earth Brewery is the brainchild of Kinston, North Carolina residents Trent Mooring and Stephen Hill, and their creation is a pioneer on a number of levels.

Considered a craft brew, the Mother Earth Label is brewed, packaged, and distributed from a former drive-thru pharmacy building at the corner of South Hermitage and West North Street in downtown Kinston, NC. Mooring and Hill have created much more than just a good drink though.

Both outdoors enthusiasts, they share a love and appreciation for the arts, preservation of a down-home lifestyle, and community revitalization. Their process is close to nature and they both believe life is an art and for that you need an artfully-crafted beverage to wash it down. Along the way the duo has established the first production brewery in the country to achieve a LEED Gold rating for their earth-friendly practices!
